Built for the courtroom, run for the client
Tamara Benefield opened her practice in August 2004 with a single office in Rancho Palos Verdes. Within a year the firm had outgrown it, moving its headquarters to Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills and adding a branch in Culver City. Today Benefield Faulk Law – Family Law Trial Advocates P.C. does one thing: family law, from petition through trial.
The firm represents executives, entrepreneurs, entertainers and everyday parents across Los Angeles County. Every matter is run by Tamara personally, with a team and research tools built to keep clients informed and involved rather than waiting for a callback.

The Benefield standard
Prepared for trial from day one
Most cases settle, but they settle on better terms when the other side knows you're ready to try it. Tamara is a trained cross-examiner who knows the rules of evidence cold, and she builds every file as if it's going in front of a judge.
Discretion is standard
Many clients have public profiles and private lives to protect. Confidential filings, private mediation and careful handling of sensitive facts aren't add-ons here.
Children come first
Every custody position the firm takes has to pass one test: is this what's best for the kids? If it isn't, it doesn't get argued.
Straight talk about money
You'll know what things cost before they happen. Transparent billing, monthly statements, and flat fees where the work allows it.
Practical, not theoretical
The firm's approach follows Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.: what matters is how the law actually applies to your children, your home and your future, not how it reads in a casebook.
A plan for after
Through On One™ and a network of therapists, financial planners and co-parenting professionals, clients leave with a path forward, not just a judgment.
